Job brief
Mkotoka Developers is searching for a quantity surveyor to manage pricing, financial and contractual affairs. The Quantity surveyor should effectively assist in the planning, tracking, and maintenance of accurate valuation, monitoring of planned, in progress, and completed work. This incumbent must be very knowledgeable in financial control, costings, and analytical thinking skills to make decisions and solve problems in real-time. Energetic and agile strategic minds are encouraged to forward their applications for this role.
Job Requirements
- Prepare and interpret various costing reports
- Apply knowledge of BOQ and understand construction programmes
- Prepare monthly payment certificates
- Extract quantities and cost of work drawings
- Conduct on-site measurement and recordings
- Assist with tender process and data compilation
- Prepare subcontractor agreements and liability schedules
- Network with clients, professional teams, Estimators, suppliers, and site agents effectively
- Effectively negotiate with suppliers and the professional team
- Prove ability to seek and secure facts
- Keep abreast of sector developments, computer literacy, and knowledge of CCS
- Exhibit drive, tolerance to stress, and self-confidence
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports
Qualification and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in quantity surveying or similar
- MSC or Post graduate diploma will be an added advantage –
- Construction estimating or finance experience will be an advantage
- A minimum of 3- 5 years of industry knowledge is strongly required.
